I am stunned that this hospital has a 3-star rating. It is not deserved based on my experience. I went in for an endoscopic surgical procedure and had never been here before. From the free valet parking and the great attendants, to each person you speak with as you ask directions, get checked in, etc., everyone is smiling and gracious in spite of being very busy! I had several nurses and they were all great but I can't remember all of their names, because there is someone constantly checking on you! My nurse who got me checked in and settled was Jean and she was amazing. She took her time explaining everything, even knowing that I am an RN. That is good nursing! My anesthesiologist was Dr. K and she sat down explained all they were going to be doing even went into each drug they would give me, etc. I have a fear of someone accidentally giving me a drug that most people take easily for nausea, but gives me long-lasting panic attacks. She made very sure on the chart that it cannot be given to me. Her team was also made aware and that is very comforting (I have had 3 panic attacks in my life and to say they are unsettling is an understatement!) When I was in recovery my nurse was

I do not recommend giving birth at this hospital. First of all, there were only a couple other patients in labor at the same time as me, and I was told they had sent a lot of their nurses home because they didn't need them. Despite this, I did not get consistent care around the clock. There was a period of time overnight when I was being monitored by a covering nurse (who came in only a couple times) and who demonstrated complete apathy towards me. When I told her my contractions were extremely painful, all she did was tell me "That's normal" and then left the room. My toco also got dislodged frequently and the nurses rarely bothered to come in to readjust it. I tried to put it back on myself but it was difficult to find the fetal heartbeat while in the midst of labor. When I asked the night nurse (one of the few times she came in) if she needed to place it back on, she told me no. Ironically, a couple hours later after they did bother to place it back on, they noted an abnormal rhythm and had to rush in to remedy the situation. I was not happy with what I perceived as a lack of care--anything can go wrong anytime during labor and it is important to be monitoring the strip at all

Had both of my babies here, and my second born delivery was amazing experience! Love Dr Behne!! And nurse Amanda hoping she sees this, but she is one of the best nurse I have ever had experience with. She goes above and beyond, her energy she gives was truly from her heart and cares a lot about her job she helped me out from the start to the finish and I hope anybody else gets her as a nurse!!

We've been coming to Memorial-Hermann for over three decades, when it was still The Woodlands Hospital, and have always received good care. Many of our doctors are affiliated, though we are changing some critical specialists to St. Lukes and Methodist because of the annual showdown between Memorial-Hermann and BCBS-TX that leaves us in a pickle. However, what pains me most is to see who actually comes first for the system when parking spaces on the ground floor most accessible to patients are reserved for providers (and often unused).

I cannot say enough good things about Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands. From the moment I was transferred there, I felt like I was truly in the best hands. After being admitted with severe stomach pain, I ended up having two procedures, and through all of it, the care I received was next level. Every single person made sure I was comfortable, informed, and taken care of—not just medically, but as a person. And that matters. A special thank you to Nurse Dallas, Dr. Roberts, Dr. Wu, Dr. Hoang Nguyen and Dr. Babakhani—you all were incredible. Your professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. You made a stressful situation feel manageable, and I always felt like I was being heard and cared for. The nurses and staff were just as amazing—checking on me, staying ahead of my needs, and making sure I was as comfortable as possible the entire time. If you ever find yourself needing care, this is where you want to be. They don’t just treat you—they take care of you. And I’m beyond grateful for that. 💗
